What a beautiful year I've had so far and Louisa & Stefan's wedding at Pembroke Lodge certainly helped continue that theme along! To say they were a joy to work with would be an understatement! We first met back in July last year for their pre shoot in Richmond Park, so they knew exactly what to expect on their wedding day when we went fro a stroll around the gorgeous Pembroke Lodge Wedding grounds.
Louisa & Stefan it's been a joy to get to know you both a little better and especially to have the best seat in the house to watch you both get married. I hope you both enjoy these photos for a long time to come, and I wish you all the best in the adventures ahead!

Now I'm not a man for putting up inspirational quotes from famous people around on my walls, but there are three. One of them says "Nothing influences a person more than a recommendation from a trusted friend - Mark Zuckerberg". That stands true so much for weddings and particularly this one from Micklefield Hall, it turns out I have done 7 (or 8?) weddings of the friends that came to Natalie & James' wedding, proving that when you do a good job, you'll get more :)
For that reason this wedding plays a particularly sweet tune with me, I knew so many people that turned up it was like meeting up with an old class from school or something!
The day for me started with catching Natalie & her girls getting ready in the on-site bridal suite and to say they were pumped would be an understatement! A great blend of old school garage and calming Chris Stapleton, I certainly added a few to the Spotify playlist!
The ceremony area at Micklefield Hall is something quite unique, a large sweeping pond means you get some crackin' wide shots of the I do's, risking everything for that low level water shot haha.
As the day progressed, Natalie & James were so easy to get along with and wanted nothing more than to have a fab day with all their family and friends, and they did just that! Micklefield provides a great landscape for after-ceremony drinks, especially if the weather is nice, you got plenty of outside space.
Natalie & James, I hope you're having a good ol' time in the States on your honeymoon at the moment & these snaps make it even more special for you both!
Now I know I only recently mentioned how wonderful it is to shoot a wedding at Pembroke Lodge, but I now find myself saying it once again about another incredible venue. Everything at Millbridge Court is premium. The venue itself, the beautiful grounds, but most importantly for me is the staff. They could not have helped anymore to make everyone (including me) feel so welcome on the day and this is half the battle for finding a great venue for your wedding.
I had recently shot Jenny & Jonny on their pre-wedding shoot in Bushy Park where we got some cracking natural shots of the two of them. I think this really helped on the day as it showed just how easy it was to pose and get the all important shots on the wedding day itself. It just makes things so much more flowing.
What I loved most about Jenny & Jonny's Wedding at Millbridge Court was the attention to detail, Jenny's eye for what she wanted was so very well thought-out and thanks to the help of Hannah Berry's Flowers and Kalm Kitchen's incredible catering, the day really came to life with these details.
So Jenny & Jonny here they are, about 150 of your wedding photos for your enjoyment.
P.S We nailed that confetti shot! :D

Shooting a wedding in Oxford can be a bit tricky for someone like me. Someone who first of all, doesn't live close to Oxford (2 hour drive away in fact!) but second of all does not cope very well at all when having leave my car outside of Oxford! (Oxford is notorious for hating the car, which is good for air pollution and all that, but not good for me getting as close to the venue as possible with a 20kg camera bag! Needless to say, back ache prevailed).
The day started for me at Oxford University, awaiting the eager arrival of Gayle, driven in much style and glam in her dad's car (I think its a Morgan but not too sure!). One thing I will say about shooting a wedding in Oxford is the amazing, and I mean AMAZING, architecture everywhere you look, it really does give off a sense of history and heritage.
The day ran as smoothly as it ever could, filled with family & friends showing their love and support for Gayle & Will on their wedding day. All of which, in my mind at least, was a little tarnished by the absence of their cute dog Murphy! (Being left at home).
Anyway.... Gayle & Will, I hope you both love your photos and cherish these forever, it was an absolute pleasure to share your day with you both and hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :D
P.S I've never included a selfie of me & the happy couple in a blog post before, so thought best to give it a whirl in this one :)
I love heading over to Pembroke Lodge for a wedding. Everything about it makes it such a nice venue to shoot at, mainly the staff on the day! They are so helpful to both me and the couple on the day of the wedding I cannot recommend them enough!
Vicky & Matt's wedding day started over at her parent's place in Wimbledon, where we done some casual and relaxed getting ready shots before the ceremony at Christ Church, Wimbledon. To say that I enjoyed the confetti shots would be an understatement! Scroll down to see some :D
With the ceremony all wrapped up we headed down to Pembroke lodge, to enjoy the warmest day of the year so far with a cracking speech from the best man (even I enjoyed it haha!).
So here you are Vicky & Matt, your wedding preview is below and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the day itself!

Shooting a Hengrave Hall Wedding is an absolute delight, not only is there countless wedding photo opportunities, but the staff are a dream to work with too. This was the setting for Gemma & Josh’s Wedding filled with a cute little on-site chapel, stunning Red Floral Designs and an evening that finished with a bang thanks to a crackin’ Fireworks Display!
Both me and Alice Underwood Films arrived the night before in the most daring drive up we have ever done, 2 hours through the snow and sleet, NOT fun! But was worth the drive in the end. The next day started with the girls getting ready in their very impressive Bridal Suite at Hengrave Hall with Hair by Ami Cass and Make up by Ruth Reynolds and the day seemed to fly by!
When we done our pre-wedding shoot a few weeks before their wedding, I could tell that Gemma & Josh would be easy work on the day and they did not disappoint! You can see their pre-shots here:
You can see a whole bunch of my fave shots from the day below, don’t forget to click on the slideshow at the top and let me know what you think in the comments section!
